Brain Workout

Today has been one of my hardest days in a very long time. Today I had to even cook my own lunch which was Fantastic! I cooked my own steak based on the teachings of Alton Brown's Good Eats. I will say that today's lunch is the best meal I have cooked yet. The steak was almost medium rare but still considered a bit rare. I enjoyed the steak immensely which was served with a twice baked potato and corn on the cob which helped with but for the most part I only worked on the steak. By the way we bought the twice baked potatoes as they are a pain in the neck to actually make.

The cooking was just one of the more interesting things that I did today but that doesn't give me an excuse to leave out the other things. One of the new things I did today was personal finance with Dave Ramsey which was interesting as it helps me become prepared with money in the future. Next up is a classic school subject which I have been missing out on for a quite a while now. This subject is Math and it was certainly easy enough. Right now we are working from the front to back of the book so I go through subjects that I know already but thats fine as I need the refresher in math.

This next paragraph is dedicated to Konstantinos Mastorakis on Google +. The reason for this is because he has helped me out with my current project on the Raspberry pi. He has helped me out with my first project which is going to be starting a Minecraft server on the pi but from his post I have discovered important facts that would have made things impossible for me if he had not posted the fact that the current Minecraft server would not work on the pi as it is too big. He also led me to a smaller version of Minecraft that should work so for this I say thank you.

work overhaul

Welcome back everyone and sorry i didn't have this up sooner but it is going to be this way for the rest of the year. The reason for this is because I am going to be starting my new curriculum tomorrow. This curriculum includes Math work from 2 different books, Dave Ramsy's Finance, and domestic science which includes learning how to cook. Along with all of this I have had other curriculum brought back a little bit so that it won't be so hard.

My weekend went fairly well while I was at grandmas. A good chunk of my time was spent simply working on my quilt which is not complete but is coming along nicely. The quilt consists of 4 fabrics which is navy blue, turquoise, red, and khaki. This may seem fairly boring for a quilt as most of them have some fancy design on one of the fabrics but when it comes down to it I love simple things like these for insignificant colors.

I did not do any work today at all other then this blog entry because I was gone until about noon and then I ate lunch at about 12:30 making it 1:00 before I could do anything. After that I set everything back up on my computer to then work 30 minutes later on my curriculum for this week. Not that it was extremely hard but that lasted until about 2:30 or 2:45 and now here I am typing up my blog that I don't know if anyone is going to be reading. For today there has only been 1 page view and that was before I posted this so I guess I could get some views today.

Return to Normality

Welcome back everyone and especially to Kristi. Kristi will be coming back home today and that is leaving me pretty excited to see her again. That is see her again before I go up to Union Town with my grandma. While that is all fun and all I still am going to be happy to see her before I head out because these weeks just aren't the same without my having Kristi around. With Kristi back things will be able to be restored to a decent order even if she cannot do much work for a while it is just the mere thought of her being in the house that brings everyone back to reality.

Todays work was for the most part easy. I had another set of questions to answer including this question "3. Some people feel that the United States should work to build a pure free-enterprise economy. Do you think that our government should play any role in the economy? Why or why not."
Well I honestly believe that the United States government should continue to help out in our economy if not just a little bit less. The reason for this is because the US government keeps people from having a monopoly in any area. This is why you don't step outside to find that the world has been taken over by McDonald.

Other then all of the written response questions todays work was fairly simple. The only thing that is for the most part bothering me is the fact that Kristi is probably farther then me in Atlas Shrugged. This really bothers me as if anyone remembers the day that I went out to eat at the Rusty Horse Tavern I mentioned that it wasn't exactly cheap and that link should reinforce it. The hardest part is the fact that if I lose I have to pay for our lunch at the Rusty Horse Tavern and since it isn't cheap I have to be careful not to spend ANY of my money to make sure that I can afford to pay when we get there. This doesn't mean that I will try to cancel this bet before I get in to deep because it is much to late for that but instead it means that I'll be darned before I go down without a fight.

Crashing down

Welcome back everyone who is still reading this to my blog. The reason why I say this is because after yesterdays entry that described me a little bit better most of my views dropped back down to around 12 and 10 views. I have no problems with this but I think I know why this happened but I'm not going to tell you till later in one of my blog entries. That is if I remember to tell you later on but who cares you can probably figure it out on your own if you go over blogs between March 27-April 1st.

I'm a bit late to writing my blog today but not by to much to need an apology for it. The reason for being late to my schedule is because I was working on a ton of questions for todays curriculum and my mind drew a blank on every single question. This forced me to go back through every page of the book to go and find the answer through the 30 pages in both my social studies book and science book. Honestly it wasn't very hard just time consuming. Especially when you can't recall any answers from the top of your head. The worst part is that now I have no excuse for a wrong answer on any of the questions from either science or social studies as I had hunted down all of the answers from the book itself.

Kristi is doing much better lately from what I have heard. In fact she might be out of the hospital by tomorrow. The entire time I never actually mentioned why she was in the hospital other then surgery and even then I didn't give a reason. I feel really bad about telling everyone reading this limited details and then with holding the important piece of information. It reminds me of my sister when she would run up to me saying that she has a secret that she isn't going to tell me. Thus with permission from Kristi I am going to tell you why she is in the hospital in the first place. The reason why she is in the hospital is because she has Crohn's disease. I felt that it was a bit personal to share without permission from Kristi first so now that I have permission I might as well say something.

Removing the Imposter

I realize quite a bit late that no matter how much people read my blog very few people actually know me. Also there is the opposite situation as almost no one that reads my blog other then family. Today I finally decided that if I was going to continue I might as well remove the veil of mystery and reveal who is Galen Seaton.
The reason for doing this now of all times is because first off at this point in time people are actually paying attention to my blog and the way I know this is because my views haven't dropped even after yesterdays disjointed entry. For the most part what I am saying is that I'm going to tell you about myself while I still have everyones attention.

First things first is the fact that despite popular belief I enjoyed public school immensely.  I had a decent group of friends who I could relate with and I managed to keep my grades high by being able to ace every test that came my way. I came to home school for several issues. First off I was offered home school by my parents after a year of bad organizing and remaining in the background of all the bad situations going on in the house. Secondly over all of the years in public school I seemed to be snapping very slowly until about 7th grade where everything seemed to go downhill for me. What ended up happening to me is that over time I would become increasingly stressed out every year in school even when I didn't try to pay attention to my surroundings.

Enough about the school stuff first off there is my hobbies. Hobbies for me include computer work, gaming, tinkering, and eating good food. The last one you probably could have guessed yourself but anyway there is the first one which is true for several reasons. computer work has been easier for me then any worksheet as first off my writing is terrible in comparison to the keyboard which I am extremely good at using in comparison. Also due to my love for tinkering there is things on the computer which I can mess with to make even better and I don't have to go out and buy a new thing every time. I will still admit to modding items like my nerf collection but either way I don't have very much money available to me 24/7. I hope that this has shown a little bit more into who I am because I was certainly asking myself the same question for the life of this blog.

Keeping up the pace

Work recently has been pretty easy and for that I am quite glad. The reason for this is because even with the extra work I still am getting done on time. The only subject that I lack on a daily basis is math and I know that it is pretty sad but still what I lack in math I make up for in all of my other subjects. I know that not much has improved over the overall year but in the long run things are going great. The coolest part is that it seems that people are still willing to pay attention to what I have to say on a daily basis. I don't know if it's because someone is referencing me on a social network but I don't care because I thought that people would have lost interest in my blog a long time ago.

Kristi is currently doing pretty good as her time in the hospital is now down to resting period. This is fine and all but things around the house are fairly hectic without having her around. She brings a manageable chaos. Even when things can get out of hand having her around the house just makes things easier then usual. What I am pretty much saying is that I hate it when she leaves. I get something through my head that I have to try to keep everyone in line when shes gone and then everything goes south from there.

I think that it is fascinating how many views I have been receiving recently. Today I got 22 views alone and then yesterday I got 20. Usually my views go up exponentially and then drop the very next day. That isn't even mentioning march 28th when I received 66 views. I know that anyone else with a blog may not think about these as very much but considering how small my blog is then these amount of views are amazing. In total over the last three days I have had 61 views. On average my views are about 10 a day so my views have doubled in total recently. For this I say thank you to everyone out there to continue to read my blog.

April Fools Wandering about

Welcome back and I hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend. I know that not everyone really celebrates Easter but for anyone that does then I hope that you had a good time. Anyway as you can guess today is April fools. I honestly think that a day dedicated to messing with other peoples mind is completely unnecessary considering when I do this everyday at home. For me I go about this day as a "special day" by trying to not pull a joke on someone. I am still Galen who still enjoys having fun and good food but I will not be messing with people if I can help it.

Today is fairly interesting as Kristi is going to the hospital again which is a bit different from the other times. Unlike the other times that she has gone to the hospital this one is more urgent as she will be undergoing surgery as well as about a months worth of a recovery period. I'm not going to be saying why she is as that is all personal matters which if you know Kristi you can ask her but for the most part I don't have any right to tell anyone about why she is in the hospital. That does not stop me from the other hand from saying that things around the house are going to be difficult and that I hope she recovers soon.

Todays work was easy enough as it goes as most of it was reading as usual. Other then the overall stress of my average day there isn't anything exciting going on other then what I've already discussed. Easter is a event that occured recently but nothing out of the ordinary came up with it. Both of my families celebrated but nothing out of the ordinary. Thus I decided that there is no reason to get hyped up over it as I had fun and nothing went wrong along the way. Then there is the fact that Easter didn't do anything that people didn't expect. In other words there is no reason to recount what I did during Easter only mention that I celebrated the holiday.
