Exausted and Happy

I am doing pretty good today and that is leaving me in a good mood despite the headache and lack of sleep. Funny enough both of those things remind me of my days in public school because of how early you have to wake up. This led to headaches and a lot of people in bad moods the first few days of the school year. I was also fairly grumpy when I was tired and usually I am nowadays when I don't get my sleep but today I'm in a good mood because have settled down for the day leaving me in a fantastic mood because I'm not rushing to get everything done today to spend some time with my friends. Mind you I still have quite a bit of work later today including Tae Kwon Do tonight for 1 hour. Other then that though it is just some chores and tomorrow is dedicated to Miles and packing for the float trip which I leave for soon after 1:00 laden with my goodies headed for fun.

Yesterday I kind of had another one of those days where I was all depressed for almost no reason but I try to not let anyone reading this have to deal with me moping about for no reason. Instead I try to give something that you can come and read have a good time. I know I'm not the kind of person who does this very often because I write my blog and I know what it contains as soon as I start reading. On the other hand only people I am around the entire will know what I'm typing about to that degree.

Speaking of packing for the weekend tomorrow that means that my float trip starts in one day. I no longer get very excited over things that I am not doing yet but instead when things finally do happen I become very excited. Examples are birthday's and Christmas are fantastic but they aren't nearly as exciting thinking about them as they are when you celebrate them and its the same thing for all holidays and the reason why I used those two as an example is the fact that my birthday is right next to Christmas making it a little bit less exciting. It doesn't matter really as long as you have fun with whats given to you.

My shadow Miles

Everyone here should still remember the dog I am watching named Miles. I love the Miles but he has been a bit difficult to look after lately. The reason is because I have gotten used to sleeping in daily but because I have to look after him in the morning and make sure that he doesn't use the restroom in the house. I love the dog to death but it's leaving me just feeling a little bit exhausted lately.

The float trip is coming up and I am utterly exhausted. It's to the point that I wake up with a headache every morning and I can't get to sleep earlier or else I will have to wake up earlier to walk Miles. You see this is becoming extremely difficult for me and I just don't do naps because I've just had some bad experiences where I miss out on the entire day because of sleeping in. The problem is that I might be almost half asleep when I finally go and won't be able to truly enjoy the trip at all.

Alright work is extremely easy and things seem to calm down after Tuesday's and best of all this Tuesday wasn't nearly as bad as last weeks because I didn't have to rush my little sister out the door to get her to Tae Kwon Do. I have been very busy lately but today is finally my day to be able to sit back and relax for a little bit since the worst parts of the week are over. I still have a feeling that Monday's are going to be my worst days of the week because even before Miles showed up and started making me wake up earlier Mondays were already hectic for some strange reason but I still haven't figured out how they were so bad.

Snail paceing

Today I went to work at the thrift shop again but I was dumbfounded to find out that it led to an even slower day then the one I had last week where half the day I was doing nothing. Today I was exhausted but it didn't really matter because of the fact there was almost nothing to do for most of the day. I'm thinking of going on Wednesday's just so that I can get some more work in when I go to work. I know that I go there for work but I feel almost useless every time I go because there isn't something that I can do that someone else can't do. I will go one more week on Tuesday and if it continues at this pace then Wednesdays it is.

Another late day

I have had yet another late school day and finished at about 3:00 today and not including a couple of other things I need to still do. Unlike most days I haven't even touched much of my chores today other than laundry and that is the kind of chore that you just do while other things go on. I still have other things to do today including take my test for states and capitols which while I have been struggling with a couple of states I have been studying since the beginning of last week. This is fairly annoying because it shows  that I am probably not studying properly

My math work on the work end of the spectrum is also pretty darn amusing because I am managing to get through the work pretty darn easily and nowadays I don't even have to ask for help with very much except for what should I be doing. Math is just easier in general now and the practice that has been put into it has made me even better. To make a long story short math is doing fine and is getting easier every day.

This weekend I have something to go to called a float trip. It is for the most part a camping trip where you go down a river in a canoe with a partner. I am honestly scared of getting a canoe with someone that has a different idea of fun then me  This would mean that if this person thinks that it would be fun to push me into the river then by golly he's going to do it. I have no problem if I were to end up with someone new but there is just the fact that I'm not exactly very relaxed around people so the first time I get there I might just be about as emotionless as a plank of wood or maybe a fun kid with ideas on how to turn the canoe into a yacht. I don't know how I'm going to react to the other kids at all but don't take this as I don't want to go on the trip. I am saying I am wondering how things are going to go after my last camping trip was camp kick and the most memorable parts had to deal with carrying kids up hills while doing squats and getting stuck in a  two person paddle boat with a kid that refused to go anywhere.

Capping the bottle

Time for the end of the first week of my new school year. I believe that things are doing pretty good for the first week and to make things even better is that new changes are also on their way for the next week. I would love to spoil some of them but that would ruin some fun posts if there is a lack of something new next week. Instead when I get some kind of new curriculum I'm going to reveal it on the day that I started. Sadly nothing new today but there will be some changes within the next couple of weeks.

There is something new in the household at the moment. I am watching a nice big dog by the name of Miles. He is a pure breed Boxer and he is absolutely awesome. He is extremely well behaved making him easy to watch and while he has been distracting me throughout the day it makes him easier to take care of because if he needs attention or a walk he comes to me. I absolutely love this dog and he is just too much fun to not like.

Well today's work was simple enough and I finished my math for the week with no problem but I don't know how long my math luck will keep running. You see I use a program called Saxon math which has a ton of different lessons within one book. What this means is that while I am on 7-6th grade work there is a ton of work to do within it that I haven't even touched on. I am currently doing some simpler math but later on I will have moved onto something like heavy amounts of algebra. Either way with this curriculum my next set of questions can go anywhere from here.

More responsiblity at the right time.

Most people that are following my teacher you will know that she is planning on stopping her dog sitting jobs but also sending any other clients my way after she has stopped. I will then have work to do along with home school working with dogs which should be pretty fun work because there aren't many dogs that don't like me. Either way the work is going th change what I can do and will leave me with a much higher income coming in, but it will be very susceptible to fluctuation.

Work continues with cooking getting kinda fun. Now I have been tasked with making my own recipe. It isn't that good because I was supposed to make a recipe for something that I already know how to make. I chose an old snack recipe to make proper tuna dip that I loved for a snack. 4 ingredients and not making an egg makes it a simple recipe as well as delicious while finally not so simple that you don't need to make a recipe.

Work has been simple but fun lately and things have been quieting down since the initial shock of the first couple days. I am enjoying the school year so far immensely. I know that things will change as they always do since the start of the first books nothing has stayed a constant in this school other then reading and this blog. I enjoy typing these up everyday as well because they help me go back over anything that I have already done. I also have a good feeling that you as a reader enjoy my blog as well.

PIcking up speed

Alright so today I have finished my work substantially faster then I did Monday. This is a huge relief off of my back because I was afraid that I was going to be working until 4:00 or 6:00 on a daily basis. I'm sorry that I didn't really post much last night it was just such a long day and I just wanted to relax for a little bit for the time I had left in the night. Anyway todays work was pretty simple and now I'm not freaking out as much as I was earlier.

Today's work has been pretty simple including two writing assignments which I don't think I will be posting on the blog today, math, and continuing to read my compilation of Charles Dickens. Other then that my day went fairly well. also speaking of those writing assignments apart of my new curriculum for the year I am required to try and keep up with current events so that I can know what's going on in home school.  One of those writing assignments was on a Frontline report about it being unsafe to live within assisted living. I ended up enjoying the episode immensely while also realizing how far behind I was on current events. I hope to change some of that in the near future.

It is good to see that some things just don't change over the Summer and that is the ability to post a blog that is mediocre. Not to good nor to bad but still worth reading to keep up to date. I love my little blog and I still need to get back onto posting these on time and remembering to work on them after the summer. I know how bad I got about posting these but now I'm doing better then during the summer. Either way it all needs work but in reality there is always work to be done somewhere and that's what makes things so much fun

First day at work

Today was my first day at a real job while working at Hillcrest Thriftshop and it was extremely fun. I absolutely loved being able to help out other people with things that they couldn't do. It was fairly fun and the work I did helped out immensely because I started out with an area that I understood. I started out with appliances which was done about half way through the day then I moved onto odd jobs included moving things around the thrift shop and then cleaning stuff that needed to be cleaned before being sold. Pretty simple stuff today except about half the day I wasn't doing anything except sitting around ready to do anything. I may have left satisfied but I felt that I could've done more. Sorry about not having this that long but it has been a long day of a total of 8 hours of volunteering.

Back to buisness an hour late

Welcome back everyone to my first day of school for this year. This is the beginning of my second year of home school and I am planning to expand my reaches into uncharted territory this year, the dreaded Facebook. I know that may sound like I'm overreacting about Facebook but I really just don't like using Facebook at all. I got primarily to communicate with friends and expand my blog but after that I try to avoid going there if I don't need to. I'm not saying that I will not go to the Facebook under any circumstances but there is something about the whole website that I don't like. That's just the beginning of the new curriculum to crack open to the new year.

I am also finally getting into the one book that I have not read in the previous year. Can you tell which one it was based on the picture to the right? The book that I am now reading is the Charles Dickens collection. It's a bit hard to see what the title is in the picture but still that is what I am reading at the moment. To be honest it is a fairly hard read much like Les Miserable only the collection of five novels isn't even nearly as long as Les Miserable was. Speaking of Charles Dickens I have one more assignment. That happens to be a 2-3 paragraph bio that is to be posted here on my blog so get ready for a little side tracking and here we go.

Charles Dickens was a writer during the Victorian period.(A) He is known primarily for writing The Adventures of Oliver Twist and other books including The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby and A Tale of Two Cities.(A) Not only did he write novels but also dabbled in short stories and even plays. Charles Dickens was born on February 7 1812 and lived to June 8 1870. He was born in Landport which is located in Portsmouth within the United Kingdom.(B) Charles wasn't always a writer instead he started out within Journalism focusing on political debates.(A) Charles was eventually approached by a publishing company known as Chapman and Hall (C) which led him to creating his first story which is The Pickwick Papers.  (A)

During the time that The Pickwick Papers were being written he married Catherine Hogarth on April 2nd 1836. (D) 6 years later after their marriage they went on their first trip to the United states as well as Canada.(A) Charles and his wife never went to live in the United states and instead stayed within
England but his visits was inspiration for one of his most famous book known as A Christmas Carol (A) He later divorced his wife in 1857 and was accused of an affair but was never proven. (A) Charles Dickens died of a seizure within Gads Hill Place in Higham, Kent (A)

Sorry about the side tracking but back down to whats new within my home school career Like I hinted at in my last entry I did get something resembling a job. I am currently volunteering at Hillcrest Thriftshop which starts tomorrow. This is actually pretty cool because this is going to be used to build up my resume and give a little bit more experience within a job. While I also am self employed and have been setting up interview to look after other peoples dogs thanks to Kristi who has been setting me up with many people and at the moment and at this rate I have another dog to watch each week outside of my usual dog Chewie.

I also have been going even deeper into the kitchen with some more cooking for a couple of weeks and maybe even more. This started because I had problems following some instructions for making boxed rice which is kinda silly because I just started to simmer and never even brought the rice to a boil. I feel silly about it but I have turned my cooking skills around for the moment but now I am going to start cooking some recipes out of one of Kristi's cook books to make up for my lack of being able to read instructions.

It has been too long

Welcome back everyone to my blog. It has been way too long for what I had originally promised. I said that I would post every week but I think that it has been a good month since I have posted so lets make sure that this one is good to make up for missed time. Things have changed in the household because my brother Nate has moved out and is now within Job Core which has impacted the family quite a bit. I hate to say it but things in the house have gotten better. Me and my sister Zoe have been getting along better, The chores have gotten easier because there is less mess being made around the house, and the parents seem to be a little bit more laid back in their already quite stressful lives. It seems a little cruel to be saying some of this stuff but anything else would be lying and that just doesn't help anything so there's just one of the things that you have all missed.

Next subject is Camp Kick. I don't remember if I had mentioned this earlier on in my blog at sometime but it's a camp based around Tae Kwon Do. Because of the place being run by ATA not only did we do things like fishing but we also had a lot of exercising to do. This all included polishing forms that we already knew and a ton of exercising along the way. Squats, Lunges, pushups, and much more all before 10:00 on the first day! What made everything even more interesting for me is that I was in the role model group so we were in charge of a ton more things then everyone else. This included carrying some of the little kids up a hill to the pool and doing some squats and lunges along the way. I admit that was pretty satisfying thinking about it but that wasn't the only thing. I have a new found respect for Kristi and her hard job of picking up after us because not only did I help out with the little kids but my entire squad was in charge of picking up after the little kids after each meal and then putting up everything back just to get it all out again for the next meal. Not as simple as it sounds because of the kids nasty habit of never even trying to pick up some of their messes. Enough of the hard now onto some of the fun stuff. I mentioned sports but to be honest with you we all kinda sucked at sports because most of the rules were changed in some way or even left out to make it playable by most of the people there. I did pretty good for someone that has almost never played sports other then in PE so that's just a bonus. The sports included volleyball, basketball, soccer, and ultimate Frisbee. To be honest they weren't nearly as fun as some of the other stuff which included Ninja star throwing, Tie dying, and boating which I will go into more detail right about ...... now.

For the boating I wanted to use one of the Kayaks but I couldn't because they were all taken before I could get one and I didn't really trust enough people in my squad to get in a canoe with anyone so I ended going with the last person into one of the paddle boats meant for two people. The kid I decided to go with had earned his name Special one. It sounds fairly mean but I called him this as well because that was the first name that I had ever heard for him at all and it wasn't just me but the entire squad including the commander called him this because of his constant lack of following directions and back talking. His real name was Evan so that's what I'm going to address him by in this blog entry. Anyway I got into this boat with Evan and we paddled into the middle of the lake easily until he decided that he could make me do whatever he wanted. His way of doing this was planting his firmly with the pedal to the bottom of the boat and didn't go anywhere until I agreed to pedal in the direction that he wanted. I didn't want to ram one of his friends so I ended up using the rudder to try and get back to land until finally Evan gave in and we paddled back to the dock. What made this all the more interesting is that this was all done in a half sunken boat because my sister Zoe had managed to get Water inside the boat because of some problems that she had while she was boating with her squad. Making this all the more harder because the entire time we were halfway soaked.

Tomorrow is my tournament as well which is going to be fairly interesting because this is my first major tournament ever. I am kinda nervous but also I have confidence after my previous tournaments success. This time though they are going to be putting me into a higher ranking group then last time because for some strange reason they are going by what age you will be by the end of the year and not what age you are currently. So instead of being in the 12-14 range I am in the 15-17 range with recommended black belts which is fairly intimidating but no way am I backing down after signing myself up for competitive. Besides I couldn't if I wanted to because my dad paid good money for me to attend this tournament and I have been participating practice this entire time so I have put way to much time and money to not go now and it just wouldn't make sense with the plans I've made. Not like I would refuse to go since I enjoy TKD so much anyways.

I know I talked quite a bit about Tae Kwon Do during this blog and I'm sure I could go on for much longer but I think that too much just wouldn't do any good at the moment. If my entries end up too long I'll lose attention half way through and if I have them too short then there is less satisfaction. I am not only typing this to make sure that you all know that I am still here but also to say that starting August 14 I will be starting up my daily blogs again. It will be good to get back into the swing of things again because I do miss having a routine other then Tae Kwon Do. There will be new experiences, new books to read, new activities, and maybe some kind of job in my future. Tune again here soon to keep and for all of you reading see you soon!
